Nature of the content

This website publishes general information about Nigerian crude oil, drawn from the public sources cited on each page. We take care, but we do not warrant that the information is complete, accurate or current. Laws, regulations, ownership, production and market conditions change. Crude quality figures are published assay or typical values and are not a specification of any cargo; in any transaction the contract and the certificates issued for the specific cargo govern.

No regulatory status claimed

Nigeria Crude Oil Merchant does not claim to be, to represent or to be authorised by NNPC Limited, the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission or any other government body, and is not a crude oil producer. References to such bodies and to companies are for information only and imply no relationship with or endorsement by them. Company names that appear in our market pages are there because their purchases are publicly documented, not because they are our customers.

Commercial enquiries

• Submission of a purchase requirement does not itself create a binding obligation to buy or sell unless and until appropriate contractual documents are executed.
• We may decline any enquiry, and we do not guarantee that supply can be identified for any requirement.
• Any indication of supply is subject to confirmation by the seller, satisfactory due diligence on all parties, compliance and sanctions checks, and contract.
• Final payment and security arrangements are subject to transaction structure, seller requirements, buyer requirements, banking requirements, compliance and applicable law.
• We do not charge buyers upfront fees and never request banking passwords, PINs or authentication codes.
